That reminds me. . . on the playground of my kindergarden (in the Philippines, early 80's) was a giant metal cable spool painted blue and white. It was full of holes, and great for climbing. The problem is that the holes allowed kids to climb inside it, but an adult could not have possibly fit. Even in kindergarden, I worried about our safety on that thing.
