If you're very, very lucky, you'll have a natural rock slide, like this one in Bristol England, now polished smooth by generations of children. Source is the flickr photostream of children's play advocate Tim Gill, which is an excellent source for other natural playground ideas.
This rock slide is awesome, particularly on a rainy day in rubber rain pants.
ReplyDeleteIs there a video of the rock slide? I would love to see it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid we never went to a water park. About the best we got to go to a local pool. Otherwise we spent hours floating down the irrigation canal or playing in a nearby stream where we had a favorite swimming hole. We also would go slide down the mossy spillway of the irrigation diversion dam.
